T34 Hull Armor?

Whats wrong with t34 front hull armor ? On some tanks (T34) I penetrate it very easy with Mammut,on others (T34) i can`t even with gold ammo (300 penetration) WTF???

Ok...but modifications put only 50mm armor to front,and total amount of armor is 152,Mammut with gold and 300 penetration still can`t penetrate him...this is insane...

Second question: Why Mammut dont have modifications ?

Нет он жалуется что как раз не пробивает.

I need correct answer to my question... Why Mammut with 300 penetration can`t penetrate front armor of t34 with modification and total armor of 152...

152 with angle about 60, 152/Cos 60=304
Average penetration 300, +-25%. No wonder its hard to penetrate 304mm of armor.
